BRNO RUGBY CUP - the invitation for foreigners

Dear Friends and Rugby Lovers,

As the lead organiser for the 23rd International Youth Tournament, DRAGON CUP 2022, I would like to invite you to our youth rugby festival in Brno, Czech Republic.

The DRAGON CUP has a long and varied sports and social history. Its main aims are to give the chance to participants to play rugby against a variety of teams and also to build lasting friendships within the rugby community.

The history of the Dragon Cup dates back to 1988, when Zbrojovka Brno organised a rugby tournament for adults and the tradition was born. Over the following 23 years the tournament has improved and evolved into its current format as a youth tournament.

It plays an important role within Czech rugby because it helps to publicise our wonderful sport to potential players. The success is shown by the number of participating Czech teams who complement teams from all over Europe. 

This year we bring news. We connected with other Brno´s clubs and prepare a huge event together: BRNO RUGBY CUP and each club will take care of the category and each category will play at own pitch. This collaboration allows us to invite more teams and enlarge the event.

The 23rd DRAGON CUP 2022 will be held on 7th – 8th May 2022 with a format which guarantees plenty of rugby for everyone.

DRAGON CUP 2022 will be at RC Dragon Brno, Cacovice 9, Brno, Czech Republic and is open to category U14 (2008 – 2009) age groups.
